The 310 Shake is one of the leading brands of meal replacement protein shakes on Amazon that is keto-friendly.
They pride themselves on offering a clean, animal-free shake that’s packed with natural proteins and superfood nutrients.
What is 310 Shake from 310 Nutrition? Is It a Meal Replacement?
There are also added probiotics, vitamins, and minerals. So all in all, from a nutritional perspective, it looks good.
At 90 calories per serving (if mixed with water), it also gives the promise of great weight loss results if used as intended, which is replacing one meal a day with a shake serving.
The 90 calories also give you the option of mixing the powder with liquids like nut milk, coconut milk, or normal milk.
There is also a host of different flavors you can choose from:
310 Shake Ingredients (Taste & Flavors)
This is one of those hit-or-miss instances. Unlike the Perfect Keto Protein Shake with amino acids, that’s really good across the board, either you’re going to love the “natural” flavor of 310 Shakes, or you’re going to hate it. The list below is based on people that like the flavors.
There are 5 popular flavors you can choose from. Most people enjoy Chocolate, Vanilla, Salted Caramel, Strawberry, or Roasted Coconut the most.
Chocolate – Chocolate is the most popular flavor
Vanilla – Is a very mild flavor that’s great with milk
Salted Caramel – Perfect for a sweet tooth
Strawberry – A fresh flavor for summer
Toasted Coconut – Best with coconut milk or in recipes that are based on coconut flavors
Mocha – A coffee-flavored kick
Vanilla Chai – A mild but spicy flavor that is good for winter
Chocolate Mint – Fresh and satisfying when you want something to indulge in
310 Nutrition has the patented Tri-Plex plant protein blend that includes:
- Pea Protein
- Hemp Protein
- Brown Rice Protein
- Soy protein Free
There is also a whey protein isolate option, but the emphasis is put on a completely natural, GMO-free product that provides animal-free protein. But, if you’re looking for a whey protein powder, I’d recommend Perfect Keto instead.
Some people have complained that the shakes taste like dried pea chalk, so if you’re not used to these three proteins, it may take some time for you to adjust to the taste.
Besides the protein, they have also added the following natural ingredients to pack in the nutrients:
- Yerba Mate
- Dandelion Root Extract
- Grape Seed Extract
- Beet Juice
- Organic Fruit and Vegetable Extracts
Now, this is where I get a bit dubious about 310 nutrition. Protein makes up 15g per serving, which is a good appetite suppressant, Yerba Mate is good, Pomegranate is good, the stated extracts are good…
But what are they using for fiber? What fruits and vegetables are they using? Some plants are able to cause severe symptoms in some individuals, so not knowing exactly what they’re using is a problem for me. For example, lots of people love lemongrass and the health benefits it offers…
But here’s something interesting about me, lemongrass makes me lightheaded and weak. I’m not saying 310 has this in it; I’m saying I’m not sure if it does.
On the plus side, shake from 310 Nutrition contain no sugar, dairy, gluten, or artificial sweeteners. Considering all of this, they do taste decidedly better than most “green smoothies” people are chugging down for the health benefits.
How To Use 310 Shake Reviews
The 310 Shakes is supposed to be a meal replacements. It’s best as a replacement for lunch or breakfast, but can be used to replace both.
Each serving consists of one scoop of 310 shakes, which is added to your choice of liquid. Remember that the liquid you choose can add calories to the shake.
Some of the best-tasting shakes are made with coconut milk, full cream milk, or almond milk. But you can literally use ANY liquid, even coffee or tea.
The 310 Nutrition Shake is also extremely versatile in the sense that it can be added to a smoothie recipe. And with the wide range of available flavors, without any of them being decidedly overpowering, they are a good option.
With 90 calories per scoop, they are also a great low-calorie, high protein option for smoothies.
Benefits & Potential Side Effects
310 Nutrition claims that their products increase energy, suppress appetite, and help with weight loss. Of these claims, the weight loss claim is the most substantiated.
With only 90 calories per serving substituting a meal that is usually 500 calories or more, there will definitely be some weight loss.
But, 90 calories is a really small amount of calories. The high protein content will help you feel full for longer, but plant-based proteins are digested faster than the more complex animal proteins, so you will probably get hungry before your next meal.
Luckily you can have another shake then because 180 calories are still less than a full meal. As for energy, I cannot believe that 90 calories are going to give you extra energy for a long time.
There may be some hidden ingredient that does this, but I’m not sure what it is or how it works. The high protein content is also supposed to support muscle growth, but with only 90 calories, most of the protein is going to be burned for energy instead of being used to help build muscle.
As for side-effects, there are three listed side-effects:
- Upset Stomach
I cannot definitively say what the cause of these symptoms is, but my educated guess is that it’s a bad reaction to one of the natural ingredients.
People put a big emphasis on natural being better, but this isn’t always the case. Some natural ingredients are high in some vitamin or mineral, but they also have other components that don’t necessarily cause harm but can have negative side effects for certain people.
Some people are very sensitive to certain “natural superfoods,” and as a devoted nutritionist, I am very aware of this.
They cannot take things like spirulina, lemongrass, Ginkgo Biloba, or other “energy-giving herbs or plants, because it makes them physically ill… Therefore people with food sensitivities, especially to “natural energy enhancers,” should be wary of taking this product.
How Does the 310 Shake Compare to Other Brands?
310 Shake vs Shakeology
On the clean nutrition, plant protein front 310 Shake and Shakeology are pretty similar. Shakeology does, however, outweigh 310 Shake as it has more added superfoods, vitamins, minerals, and the generally healthy things both are marketed for.
Per serving 310 Shake has 2g less protein than Shakeology. But 310 Nutrition Shake has only 7g total carbs per serving, while Shakeology has a whopping 19g total carbs, 6g of which are sugars. This means Shakeology is NOT keto-friendly, not keto-friendly AT ALL!
Shakeology can also help you with weigh loss only 180 calories per serving… But this is almost twice the calories in 310 Shake, and people say Shakeology is much better with milk than water, which raises the calories per serving even more.
Shakeology is also super expensive. It’s almost twice the price of 310 per serving. And given that it doesn’t offer twice the value, it makes the price feel like a marketing gimmick support structure, more than anything else. I mean, where does all that money go..?
All in all, if you’re looking for nutrition over weight loss, and you’re not keto, Shakeology is the way to go. But if you want to lose fat faster, I’d recommend 310 Nutrition Shake.
310 Shake vs Herbalife
Herbalife has a range of shakes available. Of these, their Protein Drink Mix is the closest to the 310 in nutritional value.
The Formula 1 shake is low in protein and high in carbs and sugars. The Personalized Protein Powder contains too little calories to be considered a meal replacement.
The H3O Fitness Drink is basically a tablespoon of sugar, so I really don’t recommend it, especially not after exercise as they suggest.
So, sticking with the Protein Drink Mix, it has five grams of carbs, one of which is sugar. So it can be used on a keto diet although it’s not ideal.
With 110 calories, it is also a good meal replacement for weight loss. But it falls short on the nutritional front.
Herbalife Protein Drink Mix has less protein and more dangerous stimulants. Herbalife has been around for some time, and as such, plenty of research has been done on it. Reports say that it can be damaging to the liver and even cause death.
I really cannot recommend Herbalife. Their products may work for weight loss, but there is a possibility of severely damaging effects, and their marketing strategies are also very annoying.
Imagine being inundated with emails with “amazing deals” when you decide to stop buying the product because you’re suffering from liver disease. Yes, not my idea of fun either.
310 Shakes, on the other hand, may give you an upset stomach, but they have not been linked to any serious medical conditions. But please, if you feel ill after drinking 310 Shakes, don’t use it again.
Note: If this does happen, I’ve never had trouble with the Perfect Keto shake, and I’m pretty sensitive…
Idealshape vs 310 Shake
The IdealShape Meal Replacement Shake is not too bad. It has relatively high protein and low carbs, although it has 2g of sugar per serving, which is not entirely keto, it’s low enough not to spike your blood sugar.
It also has all the added vitamins and minerals one would expect from a meal replacement. And the 100-110 calories per serving will help you lose weight if you use the shake as a meal replacement.
One thing that does concern me is the super-secret mix of ingredients that keep you full for up to 3 hours. It does work. But I’m dubious of exactly what these ingredients are and how they interact with certain people.
On this note, the added enzymes have made people I know ill as well… And my friend, who uses this product regularly, recently started voicing concerns because the consistency of the shake has changed, and it’s now labeled to warn against possible lead contamination…
These are all concerns you don’t need to look out for with the 310 Shake. Yes, there may be some stomach upset, but I’ve never heard of it giving anyone debilitating stomach cramps!
Should You Use 310 Shakes?
Compared to other similar meal replacement shakes that are intended for weight loss, yes, 310 Shakes are an acceptable and nutritionally sound shake to use.
This goes double if you are vegan. But if you are especially sensitive to any of the listed ingredients, or you find that you feel even slightly ill after drinking it, don’t continue using it.
I know I’m hammering on this point quite a bit, but some people think it’s the low calories or the change in diet that is making them feel ill. They keep on using the product, and after a while, it just becomes normal for them to feel sick.
This is very dangerous. And the reason it’s so important to keep an eye on how YOU feel after drinking a supplement is that, with a lot of these relatively new “superfood” supplements, some of the ingredients have not been tested by the FDA.
It’s not that the ingredients are illegal or outright bad for you, there just isn’t enough research to show what the effects of them really are.
So when it comes to deciding if you should or should not use the 310 Shake, take care to understand your body and personal sensitivities before purchasing this, or any product that claims to contain superfoods.
Personally, I know I cannot take Spirulina or any other energizing herbs or medicinal plants. For some reason, they make my blood pressure drop, and then my heart works overtime,, and I feel like I’m going to faint and be sick all at the same time. That’s why I’m so careful when it comes to products that promise “extra energy”.
But this may be entirely different for you and you are the only one that really knows if 310 Shake is a good option for you to try.
Does 310 Shake Help with Weight Loss? Customer Reviews and Results
Yes, it does help to lose fat. People have lost anywhere from 10-60lbs by simply replacing at least one meal a day with a 310 Shake.
According to 310 shake reviews, Ryan Vaillencourt lost 26 lbs in 3 months. Catherine Jackson lost over 10 inches in just one month. Chris is down 17 lbs in 2 months.
So, yes, these people love 310 Shakes, and they see real results. But interestingly, Ryan had the right idea in his review:
I try to be active by walking and lifting weights every day. This product works and makes me feel energetic. If you try it, change your lifestyle with it. Be active!!!
You see, losing weight is not a passive process. You cant decide to replace your lunch with a 310 Shake and then eat twice as much as you normally would when you come home from work. Being active can also help you with weight loss.
I know it can be hard to make the necessary changes for weight loss, but a lifestyle change is the only way you are going to lose fat and keep the inches off in the long run. The 310 Shake is just something you can use to help you along the way; it’s not a miracle cure.
Does Weight Loss 310 Shake Really Work?
If you are looking to lose weight and as a result looking for a way to boost your calorie-burning power, a 1 bottle, might just be the answer. It’s a functional shake and has been used as a form of weight loss pills for some time now. Available at about Rs 5,000 a bottle, it claims to increase fat metabolism by as much as 50 percent in just 30 minutes and offers a healthy weight loss solution for any user with ‘dieting’ and ‘tiredness’ being the prime problems. There is no doubt that many women over 40 suffer from these very ailments that the ‘shakes’ promise to solve, but are they really worth all the trouble? According to a nutritionist from Noida, overdoing it on weight loss shakes is only a myth.
“They can help you lose some weight, but the trick is to consume a well-balanced meal in between the daily shakes,” said Vaishali Bansal, nutritionist. The ingredients in the replacement shakes are not unnatural, they are nothing but whole foods such as fruits, vegetables, wheat bran, green leafy veggies, wheat germ, chia seeds, pulses, natural oils, whey protein, and milk proteins, etc. This means no junk food or caffeine, and that whatever is there is natural. Another myth is that weight loss shakes need to be consumed before breakfast to boost your energy and metabolism. “It is completely fine to take your replacement shakes in the morning as they are a combination of high protein and fats which help to stabilize your blood sugar levels and promote weight loss,” said Bansal. “If you want to see real results, you need to have enough protein and fat in your diet throughout the day. Protein is required for healthy muscle and fat growth, while fat promotes fat burning,” she said. “In some instances, though, if you have been losing weight but are unable to keep it off, you might just be dealing with a stomach issue. Look into this and work on your overall nutrition to see lasting results,” added Bansal
Does Amazon Sell 310 Shakes?
In the past few years, many grocers have come to feel that they’ve finally realized Amazon’s retail game plan. While the e-commerce giant may not be a growth engine for the retailers themselves, its extraordinary market share has definitely driven a shake-up in the industry, with a number of grocery chains exploring ways to better serve and communicate with its customers. When it comes to technology-enabled conveniences, Amazon seems like the obvious choice, but the $264 billion company didn’t quite hit the mark when it came to its latest purchase: BevMo!, the nation’s largest wine retailer, was purchased this past summer by Amazon for an undisclosed sum. The news of the acquisition wasn’t exactly met with enthusiasm, and the reason for that was simple.
What Do I Mix My 310 Shake With?
You can mix your shake however you want. For some people, a scoop of vanilla protein powder on top of the chocolate and then sprinkling cocoa powder on top of that is all they need, but there are plenty of other options. Here are some of the ways I mix my 310 Shake. I mix my 310 Shake with ¼ cup water mixed with ¼ cup protein powder in a tall glass. I love this drink because you get all of the chocolate flavors but with the added benefits of protein and oatmeal. I mix my 310 Shake with an ice-cold glass of almond milk. I mix it with half a scoop of chocolate protein powder blended with ¾ cup Greek yogurt.
I mix it with half a scoop of chocolate protein powder blended with ¼ cup almond milk. I mix with half a scoop of chocolate protein powder blended with ¾ cup soy milk. I mix with half a scoop of chocolate protein powder blended with ½ cup blueberries or strawberries. When I have my 300 Calorie Slimming Shake, I do not mix it at all, but I do pour it over a handful of cherries. I mix my 310 Shake with 1 cup orange juice mixed with 1 scoop vanilla protein powder.
Can We Recommend the 310 Shake? Where To Buy
Yes and no.
Yes, if you aren’t a particularly sensitive person when it comes to foods and you’re a vegan. By all means, then buy 310 Shakes, since it is your best option for weight loss in a healthy and controlled manner.
But, if you aren’t vegan, I would recommend Perfect Keto’s Whey Protein Powder. It can be used as a meal replacement shakes or as a base in more calorie-rich smoothies.
It’s high in protein and doesn’t have any of these extra “secret” ingredients. And, if you’re looking to weight loss, the added MCTs will help you burn more fat and give you a boost of energy that won’t mess with your liver.
That being said, if you chose to get the 310 Shake, I advise getting it from Amazon or through GNC distributors.
Don’t be alarmed if you see the price difference between some of the flavors, the prices are determined by the weight of the product, so the cheaper ones are only 14 servings.
And there you have it. The 310 Shake is a very do-able vegan option if you’re looking for a meal replacement shake to help you lose weight or if you just want a convenient snack between meals.
It can take some getting used to regarding taste, but if you have a problem with any stomach upsets after using is, rather stop using it.
